Twisted Tea Trees | Golden Gate Park

You will see many of these trees with twisted, winding and weaving trunks along the paths of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. These are Leptospermum Laevigatum, or Coastal Tea Tree, which are native to Eastern Australia (all of the vegetation in Golden Gate Park has been brought in from elsewhere; the entirety of the park was an expanse of desolate sand dunes before it was developed).
